No one can escape the law, folks, not even celebrities. And it’s always so much more damaging to their reputation when they cross a serious line and end up in the slammer, makes us normal folk feel a lot better about our boring lives. Take a look at these celebrities who have a criminal past that no attorney could even save them from.

I can only hope that Matthew Broderick was up front with his gorgeous and talented wife, Sarah Jessica Parker, about his criminal past. There’s no forgiving a secret like that or maybe she read it all over the headlines, who knows? Back in 1987, Broderick ended up driving his BMW into the wrong lane. Which tragically killed Anna Gallagher, 28, and her mother, Margaret Dorothy, 63. Broderick however suffered a concussion, fractured ribs and leg and a collapsed lung. While his then girlfriend, Grey, suffered severe whiplash. Broderick was charged with careless driving and paid a fine of $175. In my opinion he got off easy, perhaps due to his over-priced lawyer? Probably.

It’s a bit painful to include Will Smith on this list but alas, here we are. In 1989, Will along with a group of friends attacked a record promoter, they beat him so bad that he became blind in one eye. Will spent just one night in jail but has gone on to say that experience was life changing and one that plagues him every day.

Personally, a man who beats his wife isn’t much of a man and Vanilla Ice is no exception. He was apprehended by the police twice for assaulting his wife, Laura Giaritta. The first time he assaulted her was in 2004 and then again four years later. In 2008, he was charged with domestic battery after his wife called the police and said that he had attacked her for, “going out to buy a bedroom set in front of my daughter.” The case was later dropped, funny what money can buy, a good lawyer in this case.

Although back in 1966 when King was convicted of manslaughter, that made the headlines far more. King had stomped Sam Garret to death for not paying a gambling debt and served just three and a half years in prison. Absolute madness, that’s a crime all by itself. And get this? The street where King killed Garrett in Cleveland is being named after him. The insanity!! We just don’t get it.

Back in 2009, Sheen pinned his third wife, Brooke Mueller, to the floor and proceeded to threaten to kill her with a knife. Sheen would go on to plead guilty to a misdemeanor. Sheen’s punishment was being sentenced to 30 days in a drug rehab center, 30 days probation, and 36 hours of anger management. Could someone get a brain injury attorney to look over this case because I think everyone has lost their minds following that incident.

At just 16 years of age, Mark attacked a middle aged Vietnamese man with a wooden stick and later that same day, he attacked another Vietnamese man and blinded him in one eye as a result. Initially he was sentenced to two years behind bars but ended up serving only 45 days. You think even make then he had a fancy attorney?

Kelly for having sexual relations with her when she was only 15 years old and he was 24 at the time. He was charged with 14 counts of child pornography and following his trial, he was found not guilty on all 14 counts, if he had been convicted, he would have served 15 years. I guess he had the worlds most amazing attorney to get away with such an inhumane and cruel act.
